s2s joins the ronald mcdonald house

in a "green eggs and ham" inspired dinner, to support children in medical need

\"YOU DO NOT LIKE THEM. SO YOU SAY.
TRY THEM! TRY THEM! AND YOU MAY.\"

-Excerpt from "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss

In August we returned to the Ronald McDonald House at Front and Erie for a Dr. Seuss inspired breakfast-for-dinner bonanza!  A team favorite when it comes to our charitable initiatives, we love preparing dinner for the families staying on site while receiving treatment for their children. And how convenient, the house is located right next to the St. Christopher\'s Hospital for Children.

Complete with green eggs, the menu included all sorts of tasty breakfast treats including pancakes (with and without chocolate chips!), bagels, quiche, waffles, french toast sticks, hash browns, cinnamon buns, yogurt parfaits, sausage and bacon. The room was peppered with cut-outs of "Sam-I-am", green yolk eggs and green ham. Our goal was full bellies and smiling faces!

The first Ronald McDonald House opened in 1974 in Philadelphia and now serves as the model for over 365 Houses in 43 countries. The mission of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House is to support families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope. We can\'t resist such a powerful mission, and aim to prepare at least one dinner each year for this amazing program.
